Sprockets




 Because of their special shape Rübig-sprockets guarantee smooth running, resistance to wear and safe transmission also after long operating time.

 

Sprockets are available in the following types:

  • Steel Sprocket (profiled)
    Wheels with profiled teeth outline are universally used and cover most of the needs. They can be offered in small quantities and also in special shapes.
  • Machined Cast Sprocket
    The teet of the cast sprocket are machined. Advantage are:
    • quiet operation
    • better power tranmission
    • low wear

Max. chain speed:


The indicated speeds correspond to the linear speed of the chain without fixed link, shells or splice bars in normal working conditions. These speeds should be correspondingly reduced in different circumstances. In order to choose the right sprocket please refer to our standard dimensions list.

We advise to choose sprockets with larger numbers of teeth in order to ensure smoother operation and better polygonal effect.
