Axles
Die Achsenfederung ist There is a great advantage to spring loaded axles is case of impurities between sprocket and chain. If chain and sprocket run horizontally the tip diameter of the sprocket can be made bigger or provided with bigger fibres. |

Running DirectionThe Rübig chain is able to run in both direction. Under dirty conditions the tab should face the running direction. (A) When the tensile force is very high (about 20% of the breaking load) the chain should be installed in the opposite direction. Here, a smoother run off the sprocket is achieved. (B) Outward facing of the tab is a must! Chains have to be pulled not pushed! If possible the actuation should be on the driving side of the loaded chain lane in the required direction. |

Overloaded ClutchFor trouble free operation, and also out off security reasons, we recommend the installation of an mechanical overload clutch. (alternative shearing pins, electrical overload protection, belt drive or hydraulic load limitation on adjustable hydromotors as overload protection are also suitable) |

Chains - Bases - Web AttachmentThe Rübig chain should not run on soft wood or a soft base (strong wear and tear), steel and special sliding rails made out of "Robalon" or "Murtfeld S grün" are suitable. If possible a driving fixture should be welded to chain so that the driving feature runs on the base. In any case the chain should not touch the base. |

Parallel running chainsIf it is intended to use two or more chain lanes connected by driving fixtures they will be matched in house without charging any additional costs. |

WeldabilityRÜBIG-Ketten sind gut Rübig chains are weldable. Please note, however that the area should not be heated above 250°C. The welding direction should always run from the thinner part to the stronger part of the chain link. Before welding the opposite side the chain links should cool down at air temperature. We recommend to relax the chains after welding at 190°C - 200 °C for 1 hour (especially on chains in HV executions). |
