The History of Our Company

The Rübig metal - working factory was founded by Franz Rübig and his sons Helmut and Herbert in 1946. In 1952 we began to drop-forge small components for sewing machines. From this time on, the centre of gravity turned into the production of drop forging, where we focus on customer benefits. With the development of the forged link chain and the Rübig-safety-linch pin innovative products were created for the own delivery programme.

Because of the constant expansion of our production our company was multiple enlarged.

Constant growth enabled us to enlarge our production facilities. After reaching the limits of expansion we had move to a new and more mdern site.

In 1999 the tool manufacturing department was refitted and expanded within the former location. Most modern, state-of-the-art machinery is used to achieve the required results.

Since 1996 the company is certified to ISO (at the moment ISO 9001:2000) and the export quota amount about 50%.
