Wear, suitability of materials and  resistance to corrosion play a central role in one of the thoughest environments - the human body.

By using surface and heat treatment, it is possible to essentially improve the qualities of materials. Therefore, these methods have gained great importance over the last few years.  E.g. plasma nitriding has become irreplaceable in implantology. 

Rübig technologies are used in the production of medical tools as well. The coating and thermochemical treatment of metals like titanium, corrosion-resistant steel, synthetic material or ceramics have gained great significance. On this account, there has been - and still is - put a lot of effort in customer oriented research and developement by using the latest surface technologies.
