On average, between 25 and 35 apprentices are trained at RUBIG. Approximately 10 new apprentices start each year.

Knittelfeld (STMK)
Heat treatment techniques improve the properties of steel. You’ll learn about heat treatment processes such as vacuum hardening, plasma or gas nitriding and hard material coating. You’ll use various measuring and testing devices to check the properties of the materials and carry out metallographic tests.

This apprenticeship offers comprehensive training in electrics, electronics and mechanics. You will learn the necessary processing techniques and will be responsible for programming the equipment. Working independently is very important, as assembly work takes place around the world after you have completed your apprenticeship.

Your tasks include the assembly, testing and commissioning as well as the maintenance and repair of machines and systems. Main Module Electrical & Building Services Engineering

As an electrical engineer, you’ll be a specialist in all aspects of electrical and electronic systems and equipment, from planning and installation to maintenance and repair. You’ll become a professional in assembling and testing electrical switchgear and distribution cabinets, laying lines and cables, programming controls and troubleshooting electrical systems, for example.
Requirements: You have good grades in mathematics, a systematic and precise work style, and manual dexterity. On a personal level, you’re punctual, polite, have a high willingness to learn and are a team player.
Main module applied electronics

Linz (OÖ)
You learn how to handle electronic parts and components and how they function in devices and machines. Measurements, soldering, reading circuit diagrams and logical thinking guide you in every troubleshooting and repair as well as in every circuit design. In addition to functional testing of assembled circuit boards, your main tasks will also include assembling and testing modules and devices.
Requirements: You possess good comprehension skills, patience and eagerness, as well as manual dexterity. Your good perceptive faculties and your understanding of mathematics and physics are additional strengths. Wels (OÖ)
The dual training includes organisational and commercial activities such as administration and organisation. During your apprenticeship, you’ll work in the accounting, invoicing, purchasing, sales, reception and marketing departments. You’ll also gain insights into quality management and the human resources department.
Requirements: You’re proficient in German, English and mathematics and have good PC skills. On a personal level, you’re punctual, polite, have a high willingness to learn and are a team player.
