Event

RUBIG Apprentice Days 2023

This year, the RUBIG Apprentice Days took our 30 apprentices to the Schladming-Dachstein region for two days. The first day was packed with action during raft building followed by a race. Then we went to the mountain gokart ride starting at the Hochwurzen 7 km downhill.

On the second day, the focus was on sustainability as a team event, before returning home in the afternoon.

Metal Technician

Apprenticeship:

3.5 Years

Vocational school:

Steyr (Upper Austria)

The basic training includes filing, drilling, sawing and welding. In addition to grinding on the surface grinding machine, you will also manufacture tools using CNC milling and CNC turning. Assembly, coordination and maintenance of the manufactured components round off your activity.

Vocational school:

Attnang-Puchheim (Upper Austria)

The basic training includes milling, turning, drilling and grinding. After the machining basics on conventional machine tools, you will learn to write production programs for CNC machine tools that are used in series production. In addition to operating and setting up our CNC machines, their maintenance is your area of responsibility as well.

Your tasks include the assembly, testing and commissioning as well as the maintenance and repair of machines and systems. During your comprehensive training, you will also acquire hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge, which multiplies your area of responsibility. In addition, you will learn turning and milling.

Heat treatment techniques improve the properties of steel. You will get to know heat treatment processes such as vacuum hardening, plasma or gas nitriding and hard coating. With various measuring and testing devices, you check the properties of the materials and carry out metallographic examinations.

This apprenticeship offers a comprehensive education in the field of electrics, electronics and mechanics. You will get to know the necessary processing techniques and will take care of the programming of the systems. It is very important to work independently, because after completing the apprenticeship, assembly work takes place around the world.

Electrical Engineer

As an electrical engineer you are a specialist in all aspects of electrical and electronic systems and devices, from planning and installation to maintenance and repair. You will become a professional in assembling and testing, for example, electrical switchgear and distribution cabinets, laying cables, programming controls and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Requirements:

Electronics Technician

You will learn the handling and function of electronic components and components in devices and machines. Measurements, soldering skills, reading circuit diagrams and logical thinking support you in every troubleshooting and repair as well as every circuit construction. In addition to the functional testing of assembled boards, the assembling and testing of assemblies and devices is also one of your main tasks.

The dual training includes organizational and commercial activities such as the administrative and organizational area. During your apprenticeship, you will work in the accounting, invoicing, purchasing, sales, reception and marketing departments. Furthermore, you will gain insights into quality management and the human resources department.

Requirements: 

You are good at German, English and mathematics and have good computer skills. Personally, you impress with punctuality, politeness, a high willingness to learn and ability to work in a team.
