Services at a glance

Sandblasting

Scale, rust, coating residues – all this and much more can be removed economically and efficiently by sandblasting. In fact, it has long been no longer working with sand, but with fine cast steel granules. Several blasting systems are in operation at RUBIG: trough belt systems for bulk parts as well as a rotary table blasting system for individual parts up to max. 1,000 mm in length or parts to be partially blasted. RUBIG also offers sandblasting as contract machining.

Welding technology

The RUBIG Die Forge is certified as a welding operation according to ÖNORM EN ISO 3834-2. Certified welders produce welding assemblies up to a maximum size of 500 x 500 x 500 mm from forged parts, laser blanks, provided parts, profile sections, turned parts, etc. The equipment is optimal for the production of individual parts and small series; larger quantities are produced with a welding robot. Annealing furnaces in the factory make it possible to weld components preheated, and also to carry out subsequent heat treatments. Tests of the structure, hardness, etc. are carried out in the in-house laboratory. If necessary, we also offer procedural inspections in cooperation with official inspection bodies.

Tempering of mass parts

In our modern belt furnace system, "water-curable" steels are hardened or tempered in a continuous process. Carbon steels (C22 / C35 / C40 /C45, ...), Quenched and Tempered steels (30Mn5, 25CrMo4, 27MnCrB5.2, ...) and heat treatable structural steels such as St52-3 (S355JR, etc.) and St60-2 (E335). Unit weights between 5 g and 1.5 kg and dimensions up to approx. 200 x 50 x 100 mm are possible. Calibrated hardness testers are available for the mandatory tests.

Press work

Die forged parts require further work steps after the forging process, such as deburring, punching, embossing, etc. Numerous presses with a compressive force of up to 360 tons are used at RUBIG for this purpose. Our machines can also carry out other work (punching, bending, etc.) with suitable tools. We are happy to take on such work as a service. We use tools provided by the customers for this purpose. If required, our tool shop is also ideally equipped to produce the required tools ourselves.

Barrel finishing

Forged and blasted surfaces are smoothed at RUBIG by barrel finishing in round trough vibrators. With different abrasives and additives, the surfaces are sanded smooth or additionally polished. Customers can have their own laser cuts, turned and milled parts, etc. deburred or have their edges rounded in a cost-effective and reliable way.

Crack detection

For many parts, crack tests are required during or at the end of the production process. In order to meet the requirements of our customers in this respect, RUBIG is set up for crack detection of parts up to about 700 mm in length. We also check parts in contract work for our customers.

 CNC Machining

Multifunctional turning-drilling-milling centers are used for the production of complex components in machining production. At RUBIG our scope includes turning, drilling, milling, as well as automatic workpiece measurement.

By interpolating up to 5 axes, every geometric contour can be processed efficiently with maximum precision. Therefore we can process workpieces with almost no limits in complexity. The design and manufacture of the required clamping devices are carried out at RUBIG in-house. Thus, devices and machining strategies can be ideally coordinated with the capabilities of the production machines right from the start.

Machine turned parts for an assembly, which is welded with a laser blank, are manufactured just as carefully as the drilling and milling of the linchpins produced in continuous large-scale production.
